Healthcare in the US is a failed market comprised of highly consolidated monopolies with few competitive forces at play. These monopolies exert incredible influence on Congress by means of large campaign contributions to members. The result is a broken system that leaves many Americans with little or no health insurance. Restricting this flow of money would be the first step towards overhauling America’s pitiful healthcare system.
