The principle of healthcare as a right is the reason why the overwhelming majority of western industrialized nations have single payer healthcare systems which guarantee quality healthcare for all of their citizens.This principle does not exist in the US where healthcare is considered just another profit making industry. Millions of dollars of dark money from organizations representing major healthcare providers to politicians insures that affordable healthcare will never become a reality in the US.
