Follow the money. And the votes!

The Citizens Action Coalition (CAC) has a mission: “To initiate, facilitate and coordinate citizen action directed to improving the quality of life of all inhabitants of the State of Indiana…” CAC was founded in 1974 as a non-profit “grassroots organization dedicated to protecting consumers” during the first energy crisis. Today CAC focuses on affordable healthcare and a clean environment by community organizing, canvassing, lobbying and litigation.

A fortuitous by-product of CAC’s mission are neatly compiled and easily digestible report cards. If you want to “see how much money your state legislators took from the energy industry and how they voted on energy-related issues,” then you’ve hit the jackpot. CAC is an essential resource and we’re fortunate to have them in our state.
