The mood was “optimistic and determined,” among almost 400 attendees at the 2018 conference of The Network for Public Education in Indy October 20-21 according to Steve Hinnefeld. And they “are united in wanting high-quality, democratically governed public schools that serve all students—and serve them well.”
Co-founder Diane Ravitch (former assistant secretary of education and author of Reign of Error that debunks the myths used by education reformers), was one of the guest speakers.
