Report from the Ranks: The Network for Public Education Conference

The mood was “optimistic and determined,” among almost 400 attendees at the 2018 conference of The Network for Public Education in Indy October 20-21 according to Steve Hinnefeld. And they “are united in wanting high-quality, democratically governed public schools that serve all students—and serve them well.”

Co-founder Diane Ravitch (former assistant secretary of education and author of Reign of Error that debunks the myths used by education reformers), was one of the guest speakers.

On his blog School Matters, Steve Hinnefeld writes about “A Reason for Optimism.”
