The ruling for Citizens United in 2010 unleashed all control over political contributions by saying money equaled free speech. When you pay for the politicians, you get the rules you want. So the consolidation of corporate power over what we read, watch, or listen to means we all must understand the political bias of our sources of news. Because the primary objective of news outlets is to make money and not educate or even relate events that reflect the true nature of things, the consumer must beware.
