Organized labor has been under attack for decades by the right and it’s allies in the Republican party. Numerous states have passed so call “right to work”laws which look to discourage and dilute union membership. The 2010 Supreme Court “Citizens United” decision allowed unlimited dark money to fund anti labor and anti union campaigns. The Koch Brothers backed “Americans For Prosperity is one dark money group that has been at the forefront of the anti labor/anti union movement. Fortunately workers are fighting back and as this article shows, have been able to defeat “right to work laws” in deep red states. Unfortunately that wasn’t the case here in Indiana which has been a “Right To Work” state since February of 2012.
